Effective September 6, 2026.
Flint’s Finest Basketball Club, Inc. (“Flint’s Finest,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth basketball organization based in Flint, Michigan. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, our events, and our team and tournament registrations, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Registration information. When a program registers a team for one of our events, we collect the team name, division, and the name, email address, and phone number of the coach or program representative submitting the entry.
- Roster information. Where a roster is required, we collect player names, grade or age, and jersey number, submitted by the team’s coach or authorized representative — not by players themselves.
- Contact information you give us. If you sign up for tournament updates or contact us through the site, we collect your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Payment information. Entry fees are processed by our payment provider. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and the amount. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Basic site analytics. Standard web log data such as pages visited and general location, used to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
We use this information to run our events and programs: to process registrations, build divisions and schedules, publish brackets and results, contact coaches about their teams, collect entry fees, and send tournament updates to people who asked for them. We also use it to operate and improve the website.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers we use to operate our events and communications, and only so they can perform that work:
- Exposure Events — our tournament registration, scheduling, and scoring platform. Team names, divisions, coach contact details, rosters where submitted, and standings are handled there, and some of that information (team name, division, schedule, scores, standings) is published publicly as part of running the event.
- Our email platform — used to send tournament updates and program announcements to people who have signed up.
- Our payment processor — used to take entry fees and donations.
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law.
Information about minors
Our programs serve youth athletes. Player information reaches us from coaches, program directors, and parents — we do not ask children to submit information to us directly. Player names, grade or age group, and jersey numbers may appear publicly in schedules, rosters, brackets, and results, which is a normal part of running a tournament. A parent or guardian who wants their child’s name removed from published material should contact us and we will remove it.
Photography and video
Our events are photographed and filmed. Images and footage from Flint’s Finest events may be used on our website, in our newsletters, and on our social media. If you do not want a photograph of you or your child used this way, tell us and we will remove it.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the marketing email immediately. You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address below. We keep registration and event records as long as we need them for our records as a nonprofit.
